A very sound statement, i have gotten into the habit of micromanaging, this is both good and bad, good because i can do more with less and bad because i have less to do more with.
The germans have my favorite light tank and ofcourse, the best heavy tank. The quick light tank assault followed by the tiger is very efficient.
A strategy i often use is the same as the nazis used in their blitzkrieg. The tanks move ahead, breaking through the line and then turning around and attacking, therefore they are taking a LOT of fire. Therefore i often use the tiger, though the Panzer IV is more like reality. While this is happening my inferior units, ATs, Infantry, mortars firing from afar, maybe a few Artillery, though i hate them so. This does one of two things. The weaker units do not take fire, therefore can give more, and the enemy is confined, trapped by the tanks from behind and the other units from in front. This is the time if there ever was one to use the gas, causing them to flee or suffer the consequences, but where are they going to flee to? Well, one guy was french and tried barreling through my infantry, but hit my ATs, and an American tried charging out, but my tanks simply backed up and my infantry/ATs moved forward and they were cornered again (though my infantry were in the gas for a small period of time). This is extrememly succesful.
