In this scn there are 2 armies. You choose to attack or defend and then you fight. micromanagement includes: keeping ur knights away from the archers, keeping ur archers away from the swords, and convert one of the enemies units.
It was a fun scn to play even though it was fairly basic. i had my army, he had his and we fought but it was still enjoy able.
I won easily both times on attack on defend. i didnt use any killed tatics, my army did most of the work. the enemy needs more units to make it balanced.
The idea wasnt very creative. Its simply 2 armies fighting each other with some re-named units. I was hoping for vikings raiding towns and escaping before Charlemage's army arrives. So amount of side quests would be nice.
Map Design: 1
It was a basic green map with one hill that had a small effect on the battle (the hill was rather small). It was one of the most boring maps ive ever seen. terrian blending, elevation, maybe some water and eye candy would be nice ;)
It was fairly clear what i had to do. The instructions were fairly good. They were satisfactory. The story left much to be desired. How did these 2 armies meet on the battlefield? What are the names of each General? Where is this battle located in Europe?
The Vikings were the terrifing because they raiding villages all throughout Europe until Charlemange(sp?) managed to create tatics that led to their defeat. Their land was void of natural resources and so they attack lands that had resources. They were also the first Europeans to reach the New World. Scns/Campaigns with them can be hard to do because of the lack of the viking units and snow that were present in EE.
