My suggestion is that you give a little bit more of a description. Create some excitement about your design. |

Playability: 1
This scenario comprises of traveling over vast stretches of land and sea while nothing is happening, and a couple short and swift battles that ended all too quickly. After reaching England, the objective for defeating the giants failed to be fulfilled, despite the fact that I explored the entire island and slaughtered every living thing I met.
Balance: 2
The first battle pits you against what appears to be a superior enemy, if you take merely the units you start with. However, you are blessed with a feudal bonds and a fair amount of resources, which leads to military superiority throughout the rest of the game if you use all your resources on units and then use feudal bonds. Because of this, it was rather easy.
Creativity: 3
Definitely creative, few people would have thought to make a scenario on the mythology of England. Yet, while the idea of the scenario was good, the author failed to make the scenario interesting enough for the player. There were no side-quests of any sort and most of the objectives were of the "go here" type, forcing you to travel across the length and width of the entire map several times.
Map Design: 1
The map design is uninspiring. Long flat stretches of grass1, a city covering a good portion of the map holding only a triple-handful of buildings, blocks of trees for the most part, a large area of only a single tile terrain, England being south of France and neither looking like they were either England or France.
Story/Instructions: 1
The story left me utterly and totally confused. The beginning cinematic is Brutus killing Silvanius but doesn't tell you who they are, why one attacked the other, or any sort of back story. Then you are catapulted into the scenario with a "go here" mission. also, the objectives had very little support information.
Additional Comments:
- Make sure all your objectives work, and make something other than "go here" missions. The (very) few non-"go here" missions weren't really enough.
- Do something about the opportunity at beginning military superiority, maybe decreasing the amount of resources the player has.
- It was a good idea, but it really needs more (and better) to translate into a good scenario.
- Terrain mixing, use of elevation, put the supposed kingdoms in their correct places, the map needs a more or less total overhaul.
- Give some back story so that the player isn't so totally confused, improve your objectives so that they have more of an idea what is expected of them.[Edited on 08/05/04 @ 12:46 PM]
