This scn. is about the Russian invasion of eastern Poland in 1939 during the German invasion of Poland to the west. For the time being the Germans and Russians were in a non-aggression pact and in the end if you were a polish Jew you would have rather been in a Russian occupied part of the country rather than a German occupied part, although the Russians were not welcome and took advantage of the German invasion.
This is my first scn. it is rather simple, just eliminate the invading Russians; it is not very player oriented I just wanted to practice my map making and triggers.
Playability: 4
It was nice to play this, as no scenarios about the Russian invasion of Poland have been submitted yet. I myself made Blitzkrieg, in which Germany had invaded Poland, but I left Russia out. Nice idea. Also, you could decrease the Russian's power a bit. I'll come to that point at "Balance". And suddenly a few Russians appeared at my base in the west!
Balance: 3
As I said before, the Russians were too strong. I had some strongholds in the east, but they were overrun after the second attack, though they were fighting for their lives :P. This is the probably the worst point of the scenario (speaking in relative terms).
Creativity: 4
Creativity was good. As I mentioned already, this is a new storyline that has not yet been used before on Empires Heaven.
You used the sector around Bialystok, but I have something to say here. The Germans...*takes book about WW2*..O no, you were right. I thought the Germans attacked this town, but it were the Russians indeed ;)
Map Design: 4
Map Design is a point which I cannot properly review. The map looks like it is a random map with a self-made river and some buildings. I give this a 4, because the map looks nice. And after all, that is the point what Map Design is all about. It could've been a 5 though, if had put in some more eyecandy.
Story/Instructions: 3
They were clear, but simple. The player has to wipe out all Russians, before they win. This plot is very simple, though, and I like to see some more story behind this. What is the weakness of the Russians? Maybe the player gets an objective to flank the Russians? This sort of objectives can be added to make a scenario fun.
Additional Comments:
This is the author's first scenario with triggers (If I've read it well), and he has done a good job. Keep on the good work, and improve the things I've mentioned above.
