Empires: Retail Release |
Note: This is a demo version of the campaign "Tears of Europe".
Thousands of people arrived to the Omaha Beach to reach the German control. You have the control of the allies, and you must destroy all the german defences.
Now relive one of the most important battles of the WWII and meanwhile see the quality of the scenario. In this demo you can see the high detail level of the map, and imagine the quality of the future campaign "Tears of Europe".
"Tears of Europe" will be a campaign based in all WWII, with the most important battles. From the Conquest of Poland to the Fall of Berlin, all documented and with the real dates. I think it will be finish in one month or less. |

Playability: 3
Playability was not good, but not bad as well. When I thought I completed the objectives (It was Spanish :S, so I guessed a bit what to do as I can understand a little bit Spanish), I didn't win! But later I discovered, I hadn't completed them at all. And it was very fun to play it, what is important to me. My opinion about that Spanish will be mentioned later.
Balance: 5
Balance was very good! When I had cleared the beach, I only had a few units left. It completely depends on the player if he will win or not. I quickly unloaded the boats, and I attacked the beachhead strongholds. Very good work here!
Creativity: 2
Creativity. There's the good ol' sentence again; D-Day scenarios are being made so often, that they can hardly be fun. And the beach didn't look like Omaha at all! This one is your downfall.
Map Design: 4
Map Design was pretty well. The terrains were nicely mixed, and there also were some burned things, which is very realistic.
But as I said before, this beach didn't look like Omaha at all. And that's a thing I want to see at all scenarios about historical battles; the location must look like it was when the battle occured. I know, you can't drive to the real Omaha to see how it looks like, but at least you can check some books about D-Day.
Story/Instructions: 1
Story/Instructions. Here it comes, lad:
Empires Heaven is an American website. In America, they speak English (well, most of them). Then, how can you ever think of the idea of putting this scenario in Spanish? The scenario was fun to me, because I could understand the Spanish a bit. But what about the other people who download this? I guess some of them don't even know this one is Spanish. Maybe have you let some Spanish people playtest it, but always convert it back into English. The description you gave here was very nice. It was English. But the scenario was Spanish. You have made a big mistake here, my friend, and you will know it when you've read this review.
Additional Comments:
Just read the above review. Good luck with new scenarios...and put them in English, please.
