Playability: 1
Looking for one man for more than half an hour isn't really fun, especially not when you're not even given a decent story or at least a real reason to support this quest. And once you find this one man, the scenario turns into a regular B&D scenario, except worse. There was an enormous wall of trees that forced me to make an enormous detour before finding the enemy castle, and such a long walk through unappealing terrain certainly isn't something anyone wants.

Balance: 2
The balance is okay in the scenario, but the enemy seems to do quite a bit of damage with each hit, and required quite a bit of luring tactics, which got boring. At the castle, the English just slaughter your troops unless you are very well prepared with siege weapons to level the towers and the gate that hide the enemy archers.

Creativity: 1
One thing the author certainly did do was choose a topic that hadn't been covered much, which is a plus. However, beyond this, there wasn't much at all. There isn't really anything creative about this scenario beyond that.

Map Design: 2
The map design isn't much at all. The road is just dirt, and the forest is comprised of blocks or walls of trees. The mountains are bare of vegetation of any kind, there aren't even trees unless you're at a path down from the mountains into the forest. Everywhere, the only terrain (other than the dirt roads and a few tiles of some sort of sand here and there in the mountains) is grass1. However, the mountains are the best part of the map, as they aren't just plateaus, but there is extra elevation on top of the cliffs. There's also a shallow river behind the cliffs. Also, there was a cobblestone road leading to the English castle.

Story/Instructions: 2
There is no story of any kind save a couple sentences stating that the English are invading and the Scots were defeated. There are objectives, two of them, one telling you not to let your two beginning units get killed, and the other telling you to find William Wallace. The actual quest objective has no useful description, the only hint it gives on where William Wallace is, is "somewhere in this map." That isn't really much to go on, though later you DO get a hint, he's in the mountains. The next objective, to defeat the English (in effect), actually has a helpful description.

Additional Comments:
- Exploring the map just to find one man? And then crossing the entire map again just to attack one castle? Not quite my idea of fun, and could be improved.
- This could definitely be more creative, some small side-quests could definitely help.
- Map design needs a lot of work, from terrain mixing to having decent forests.
- A real story and some more detailed instructions would be nice.
ViP3R Map design needs sorting out, more terrain mixing etc. Also the trees need sorting out too, there all in perfect squares in perfect alignment. What's goin' on! :)

Playability: 2
The playability...2, this is simple because the scn was extrememly boring. You wandered half-way across the world to find a man and back again to destroy a castle. You could of greatly improved this by maybe having some bandits/soldiers to run into, or a large scale battle to take part in. Just walking around is not fun.

Balance: 1
Balance was ok, deserves only a 1 though. Because basically it's you win or they win. If you leave the soldiers on their own they die. If you click the mouse a few times they win. That's it.

Creativity: 3
I don't think there are much scn's based around scottish goings on. So I'll give you a 3. But a 3 is all ya gonna get...

Map Design: 1
This is the worst part of all, NO terrain mixing. Woods that have been planted by an architect, and the design of the village was poor, very poor.
You could improve this by;
- A lot more terrain mixing
- Planting trees in a random fashion
- Improve the layout of the buildings
- Include some eye-candy

Story/Instructions: 2
The instructions were ok, because I knew what to do, but the background picture was appalling. The highlander had been crushed, and he still had the player selection icon and green bar around him. What's goin' down here.

Additional Comments:
The cinematic needs a bit of work doing to it, better dialogue, more eye-candy, better camera work. Improve this at least for your next project. :)
