Your recommendation is dually noted, Blascapone, but the Review Guide does not say anything about: having the knowledge of map making before posting a review.. You need to re-read the "Review Guide" once again. I need not be a map maker to voice my opinions in this Forum, but if I say something that you know is incorrect about the dynamics of map making then you have all the reason to voice your opinion about that statement, thank you for your insight.
P.S. The 8Megs on HeavenGames is nice to know and I will keep this info under consideration for other reviews I post. Some day maybe I'll post a game of my own. |

Ok, but the review guidelines have not be followed exactly. The Guidelines are because guide you in your first steps. Later, when you have experience you learn that there are lots of ways to review. An example: Intrepid uses his own system that much people has copied.
Things that tell Review Guidelines are not God´s words. |

Thanks for the review Toolboy! LoI was a bit of an experiment for me, as it was intended to be a campaign focused more on story and cinematics than gameplay.
I wanted to do another 2 scenario campaign that continued the story, but it never materialized for real-life reasons. I also wanted to go back to the 2nd scenario and add a lot more side-quests to do in the forest areas. Thanks again! |

Not bad a campaign indeed. :) The side stories in the 2nd scenario were all interesting and unique in their own ways. The different personalities of the counts also enriched the flavor of the campaign.
Story-wise, I was a little disappointed with Lucian's resolve in the end though. I mean, the count of Brittany was willing to give him a chance, only for Lucian to say "let's set camp and sail back to England", he's gonna feel betrayed with that.
And not only the count, but also the rebels and the other guys who fought for him in the end, oh and what of his brother? He's gonna just leave him there if by any chance he's alive?
Lucian's decision in the end was itself, just bad. :( He was so easily convinced by the priest-count and his subordinates. I smell something fishy going on with that count.
Anyway, I doubt there will be a sequel to this, and since the author admitted that it was unfinished, I'm not going to rate it. I'll just leave it as it is. :) |
