Final Fantasy, eh?
This demo is good, but a few moments improving it before concentrating on the final version would be time well spent.
Playability: 3
This map is fun, when there is actually some combat....But, there isn't much combat.
Balance: 3
Not a lot I can say here. It's not hard to "complete" It's too short to really comment on.
Creativity: 4
Well, a new map style, lots of potential here. The dressphere thing is very good (even though I'm more of a fan of the traditional FF methods!). One thing to watch though: Assassins heal themselves, Healers don't, wierd isn't it? A bit more diversity between dresspheres, perhaps?
eg.
Warrior= High Health,
Mage=High MP,
Archer=Long Range,
Beserker=High attack
Map Design: 2
Don't let my score put you off, but it would be unfair to score a map highly thats 2/3 desert. Perhaps you should lock the Guadosalam gate to prevent players seeing this.
Story/Instructions: 3
A few objectives and a victory condition might be nice. Make the archer in Guadosalam set you an objective to recover the bear, beef up it's stats a bit to make the fight more interesting and then make the player go back to Guadosalam. A victory message could then appear "Well done, you completed the demo. Be sure to watch out for the full version of this map, which I will release soon" - Or something like it.
Some suggestions for the full version:
-A party of 3 or 4 charactors
-A level system (after so many kills charactor levels up in one dressphere)
-A special dressphere. Perhaps only available after the player completes certian tasks
-A Yuna Tidus film. Think of the possibilities. (Nongae as Yuna?!)
-Lots of side quests, a full story, cinematics. Basicly everything that makes FF so good!
Additional Comments:
A good demo - can't wait for the full version. The dresspheres is a good idea. Makes it seem more FF. A little improvement here and this demo will be of the high standards expected of any FF title! Good Luck!
