The Volga River, Stalingrad
1100 hours
18th September, 1942
Thousands upon thousands of Russian conscripts and soldiers have assembled on the banks of the Volga, close to the centre of Stalingrad. A massive German push through the city has let them reach right through to the opposite side of the river, and set up high-quality defences along its sloping banks.
Artillery, machine-guns, mortars, bunkers, barbed wire, and crack Wehrmacht troops are lining these slopes, and the task given to these 10,000 men of the 13th Guards Division of the Soviet army is to break these defences. Boats will ferry them across the river, where they will fight and they will die and they will win. At any cost.
Features:
An epic, bloody battle with casualty figures in the thousands.
Desperate uphill fighting in the war-ravaged city of Stalingrad.
Call in artillery support, aid your fellow Russians, and use tactics to get the better of your enemy.
Music from the best-selling World War II game Call of Duty.

Very nice Mechie, much improved on the last version I played. ;-)
I had no trouble finding a radio, the objective for killing the dudes so your allies could get out brought the radio into pretty plain view (IMO). |

Very well done. The action was incredible, and even though it was repetitive, its hard to stray from the facts in a historical scenario. I had a lot of fun with this, and i look forward to your follow-up. |

Playability: 5
Its all been said before really.
Balance: 5
Once again its already been said before
Creativity: 4
Not too original but i wanted to give u a better mark than a 3 cos this really dosnt deserve anthing less
Map Design: 5
... Wow... Thats all I can say... the whole map was a piece of eye candy waiting to be devoured. It rocked
Story/Instructions: 4
The instructions were clear and all that but... its just the radio objective. I didnt even realize that i had indeed found it. Other than that instructions are crystal clear.
Additional Comments:
This rocked. If it was a full campaign I would've given you 5's all round just because it was so cool. The map was excellently made and the game wasnt too one sided in anyones favour. Keep up the exceelent work :D Wish I could make stuff like this ;)[Edited on 02/04/04 @ 02:34 PM]

Hey, I found one radio!
Oh, and I was wondering where you got the background from. I should have known. But I don't think it's "bad for your scenario", to put it that way. |

Uh, Mechstra, how many times to you get commissars? Cause I've after helping the guys in the north, I haven't been getting any commissars. It's been doing this to me every time I retry the scenario over and over again. Any ideas? I'm very confused![Edited on 02/08/04 @ 02:29 PM]

There's a 50/50 chance of you getting a Commissar with each boatload. You're just very, very, very unlucky. :p |

I'm almost always unlucky, Mechstra. But hey, I was able to beat the scenario with/without commissar(s).[Edited on 02/09/04 @ 06:17 PM]

Well, good on you, then. :) If you can complete the scenario, then I don't think you can be called unlucky. ;) |

Ha ha. Very funny. Nice scenario by the way. Oh and one question, how many radios have you put on there? It seems there isn't many. All I found was 3 radios.[Edited on 02/11/04 @ 04:44 PM]
