Well, I've never done an anniversary thread before. I always seem to forget, so in January, I told myself that I wasn't going to miss my five year anniversary. I almost did, but someone wished me a happy Pi Day two days ago, and I subsequently reminded him that it wasn't for another two days (the whole ordeal reminded me that my anniversary is on Pi Day).

So...don't people normally do opinions or something like that on their anniversary? Or is that for post count or whatever?

I'm disgusted.

For anybody curious as to what caused that, I was annoyed by being forced into a chat room of 5+ people yet again. Now, everybody in there already knows this pisses me off to no end. They seem to enjoy poking the bear, so to speak. The first time, I told them I could not talk with them as I was working on a large project and had to assemble my brother's computer. As if either of those weren't enough to annoy me, they decide to add me to the room again. I told them not to. I honestly don't need a reason to not want to be invited to rooms, so I don't see what is so hard about leaving it alone.

About an hour later I was invited to yet another room by ABU. This time it was at least people I recognized. They then apologized which I was going to point out is stupid to do while also doing the thing that pissed me off in the first place -- inviting me to a chat room. Then ABU made his final poke against me (see his post) and I was sick of it. I can't say I have any regrets or that I didn't mean it with my full will, because that would be lying.

This isn't to say that my anger was caused solely by them. I spent hours assembling my brother's computer, taking it apart and assembling it over and over again because of problem after problem caused by the terrible design of both the motherboard and case and the terribleness with which they worked together. It also wasn't just me blowing up on innocents, either. They were pissing me off and knew it. They've known for months that chat rooms make me mad. I hate them, and they poked the bear, so to speak.

Now, don't misinterpret this. I don't mind talking to people on MSN at all. Just ask Rotaretilbo, I talk to him every day on MSN, multiple times. Chat rooms annoy me. This is because people are in them that I don't know, don't care about, and, in a few cases, people that made/make me genuinely sick to my stomach.

Well let me just say that the first time we added you to the conversation was Ashrzr wanted to test out an idea of msn mafia. So you being a mafia fan and all we added you, you said no thank you i'm busy. Fair enough we didn't add you again.

Then

I went down for my wonderful supper. So it was not me who added you the second time, as you may have noticed I was not actually talking then. So what happened during this second time I have no idea. But when I came back up stairs all I saw in the conversation was you seeming pretty pissed off and then leaving the convo.

So, I then decided to re-add you to apologise on everyone�s behalf, despite me at this time not really having done anything. So I added you and as you can tell from the first half of the chat log I posted I was genuinely apologising, but then in a spur of the moment that little joke came into my head about your lack of sense of humour. Now you've known me Sails from the beginning since I first registered here over 2 years ago, so you probably know I have a tendency to do things on the spur of the moment and sometimes make fairly mean (but funny!) jokes. The little quip I made kind of ruined the whole authentic apology thing so i'm sorry about that, but you have to bear in mind the only previous thing i'd done was added you to ask if you wanted to play msn mafia. I never added you nor spoke that second time you were added to that conversation.

But I can assume that the person your describing as:

Mainly because I've been a previous offender of adding you to large conversations, but I haven't done that to you in for a very long time, in my first 10 months here I did it a lot, but now I can't think of a single time except yesterday. Plus yesterday first time I added you was to see if you were interested in a game, then second to apologise for something i'd played no part in. If the reasoning for that was kind of ruined by a joke.

I can fully understand that your the victim here, but I just want to defend myself before people start believing I�m some horrible msn user that goes mad with the power of mean jokes and the ability to add people to conversations.

Now, don't misinterpret this. I don't mind talking to people on MSN at all. Just ask Rotaretilbo, I talk to him every day on MSN, multiple times. Chat rooms annoy me. This is because people are in them that I don't know, don't care about, and, in a few cases, people that made/make me genuinely sick to my stomach

I was there Sails, tbh I was hopeful you woulda played but no one informed me you were busy and etc.

When it comes to MSN Mafia, I tend to ask people before I add them to a convo.

I went down for my wonderful supper. So it was not me who added you the second time, as you may have noticed I was not actually talking then. So what happened during this second time I have no idea. But when I came back up stairs all I saw in the conversation was you seeming pretty pissed off and then leaving the convo.

See I wasn't aware of this. I left before bothering to ask who did it and because most of the time that this type of stuff happened I was never given a real answer. For this misunderstanding I apologize.

So, I then decided to re-add you to apologise on everyone�s behalf, despite me at this time not really having done anything. So I added you and as you can tell from the first half of the chat log I posted I was genuinely apologising, but then in a spur of the moment that little joke came into my head about your lack of sense of humour. Now you've known me Sails from the beginning since I first registered here over 2 years ago, so you probably know I have a tendency to do things on the spur of the moment and sometimes make fairly mean (but funny!) jokes. The little quip I made kind of ruined the whole authentic apology thing so i'm sorry about that, but you have to bear in mind the only previous thing i'd done was added you to ask if you wanted to play msn mafia. I never added you nor spoke that second time you were added to that conversation.

Bad idea to put the joke in when you're apologizing. I understand now that it was just not thought out and misunderstanding, but it made it seem like you had added me to the conversation to annoy and insult me. That was why I got mad. I then got madder when you posted it on the forums. This made it seem like not only were you trying to make me angry, you were trying to do it so as to have a laugh at me on the forums. I understand now this was not the case, but I just want to be clear why I reacted the way I did, even if I wouldn't do it again or know that I overreacted.

I don't think I said I hate and you do not make me sick to my stomach. That was a reference to somebody who does not view these forums and I believe you'll now remember who I'm talking about.

I can fully understand that your the victim here, but I just want to defend myself before people start believing I�m some horrible msn user that goes mad with the power of mean jokes and the ability to add people to conversations.

Thats fair enough, and I'm glad you did. I don't mind talking to you at all, and I completely respect you. Most of the problem was simply bad circumstance or poor judgment on both our parts.

So, in conclusion, I'm not mad now that its been explained and I just hope people forget about this as it makes me seem like an overreacting prick and you an evil antagonist. Neither is actually the case... at least normally.
