The Two Swords Inn
Official Inn of Empires Heaven

A Place to Gather With Good Friends to Enjoy a Pint and Bit of Conversation.
Enter and be Merry.

Above portion of topic post shamelessly stolen from the original Two Swords Inn.

The last Two Swords Inn, which took 3 and 1/4 years to complete, was nearly archived before completion. In a last ditch effort to get some closure before the heaven... closed, Rotaretilbo and I spent a whole night posting back and forth to reach the magical number 2500 posts. Heres to hoping that that type of effort is not required again, and that this heaven shall prosper.

All I know is that Brazil has no extradition laws, so if you need to live somewhere, go hide in Brazil and pray the Mossad can't find you.

Argentina secretly (obviously not a secret anymore) supported the Nazi party.

Congratulations, you appear to have passed your sobriety test.

It was actually fairly hard typing the alphabet backwards. I know if I was drunk I wouldn't be able to do it.

I have loads of trouble going through the alaphabet backwards normally, but I know I can go through it backwards even while I know I'm too drunk to drive. It really isn't the greatest sobriety test.

Eh. It catches the dumber drunkards. And honestly, if you're intelligent enough to recite the alphabet backwards while you're drunk, you aren't as much of a threat to other people.

Incorrect, based on how alcohol works. Long before any mental faculties are impaired, alcohol numbs and makes temporarily useless your nerves in your body that tell it where it is in relation to other parts of your body. For example, closing your eyes and trying to clap would be more difficult. This makes simple physical tasks like driving vastly more difficult, even if you could recite Moby Dick backwards from memory.

Guys, Michael Jackson just died from cardiac arrest. Bet any of you didn't saw that coming. Neither did I.

I guess this just serves to show it can happen to anyone any time.

I find it funny everybody is so sad he died. I mean, really. The world is less one rapist. How can people be sad about that? Yes, he was a talented entertainer, but he hasn't been doing any entertaining recently anyways.

Sails, isn't spatial reasoning a function of the frontal lobe, where all of the other mental effect of alcohol such as inability to determine right from wrong, inability to determine socially acceptable from socially unacceptable, and the like come from?

Those special nerves are all throughout your body and are numbed in a similar way as how morphine works with pain receptors. It just "holds on" at the synaptic cleft and doesn't allow other signals to get through. I'm not exactly an expert on alcoholism and its effect on the brain, though, so I'm not certain if it also effects the spacial reasoning part of your brain. It could do that as well, but I'm not really sure.

Are the Na+ ions permable the K^-1 at the synpatic responses of the temporal lobe? (just repeating random stuff from my neurology class.)

I'd absolutely love to play, but for at least the next few days I'm ridiculously busy.
