Hello!
I've been playing Empires for a few years now, doing mostly scenario design, and managing to start loads of really in-depth scenarios while finishing somewhere around threeish. The rest of my scenarios are rather short and don't have too much work in 'em.
Anyway.
I've decided to try to make a scenario that 1) is small enough to finish without losing interest, 2) still is very detailed, in-depth, and hopefully interesting, and is hopefully up to the standards of the better scenarios I've seen here.
Now, the map is based around a river in the midst of some rather high mountains. Snow would be the perfect terrain for this, but, of course, Empires doesn't have it, so I'm not really sure how to paint these mountains. Right now, I've been using a mixture of mainly dirt mixed with some grass dirt and grass beach 2, and some grass sandy and grass dying thrown in, but it doesn't really look like he top of some high mountains ridge.
So, what would all of you use for terrain on high mountains? There's going to be some forest, of course, but I'm the section I'm having trouble with is above the tree line.
