Well, there hasn't been much activity around here so I decided to create this topic to see if more people post.

The rules are:
I post questions. First person to post reply (I go by times, don't edit your posts!) gets it. No googling/looking up info! We have only the honor system to abide by!

Note that I do not know a lot about American history, just European and middle eastern history so anyone who knows about eastern or American history can post their questions.

Off the top of my head:
2) Where (in which country) was the first flamethrower invented.
Depends on how you define flamethrowers. Pretty sure Germany had the first modern flame thrower, but the Greeks used their "Greek Fire" in naval combat.
3) How many years did the hundred years war lasted.
This is a fairly bad question since the "Hundred Years War" really wasn't one war. It was more of a constant string of wars with brief periods of peace between.
5) What is the reason the sphinx hasn't got a nose (as in what took it of. This question can have multiple answers btw).
Napolean's troops shot it off.
7) What was the first book to be printed
Bible.
8) Who were the first Europeans to create settlements in north America.

Vikings.
9) Which is considered the largest empire by area ever.
By contiguous area, probably the Ottomans. If it doesn't have to all be touching, then the British.
11) What was the shortest war ever and how long did it last.
The seven days war for seven days?
18) The legend of the founding of Rome by the twins Romulus and Remus supplanted an older legend of the founding of Rome. According to Vigil's Aeneid what was this legend.
Aeneas, an escaping Trojan, founded Rome.
19) Who was the first Roman Emperor to turn catholic.
If you mean the Emperor himself being catholic, I don't know. Justinian converted Rome to Catholicism, but he was not.
21) How many theses did Martin Luther wrote and nailed to the door of Schlosskirche (castle church) in Wittenberg?
14 I believe.
23) What nationality was Cleopatra?
Egyptian. I really hope people know that one.
26) How many wifes did Henry VIII had.
Either 8 or 14. I keep thinking both numbers and I'm not sure which is right. Between the two, I'd go with 14, though.
29) Canada was invaded once by the United States. When?
War of 1812 when Canada was still part of England. The invasion failed miserably, though. Northern United States was only saved by the brilliant work of Captain (or was it Admiral?) Perry.
31) What was the only American president to receive 100% of the electoral votes.
George Washington.

Vietnam War.
31) What was the only American president to receive 100% of the electoral votes.

jocamar: Canada was invaded once by the United States. When?
The Invasion of Canada in 1775 was the 1st major military initiative during the American Revolutionary War(the Battle of Quebec). Which at that point wasn't the United States.
1. William Hull invaded Canada during the War of 1812 from Fort Detroit. The objective during the War of 1812 was mostly for what was known as then as the Northwest Territories(Michigan, Ohio and etc).
2. General William Henry Harrison(9th President) invaded Canada following after Major General Henry Procter(British) and Tecumseh(Shawnee Chief) into Canada for what is known today as the Battle of the Thames.

Umm, both are wrong?
Henry VIII had 6 wives.

The order of them went:
Divorced, Beheaded, Died.
Divorced, Beheaded, Survived.
11) What was the shortest war ever and how long did it last.

The seven days war for seven days?
I'd say this was right to be fair, actually.
Although
There's a lesser recalled war, remembering rightly, between 2 very small countries.
The war lastest hours or at the longest a day.
This was because both sides ran out of ammo and had to call a ceasefire and end their war

Rigged! July of 1812 for William Hull invasion of Canada; and the Battle of Thames took place in October of 1813 for General Harrison. Both were apart of the War of 1812, but both were also an invasion.

The USA didn't use the title Admiral in its service until 1862. Commodore Oliver Perry
